Hello,

my kernel config of 4.10-RC3 has problems during poweroff.
I'd like to use the Generic kernel and enable it's APM.
How can one enable configuration settings that are disabled?

Other than the obvious documents, you need to add a /boot/kernel.conf
file containing:
en apm
q

(Obviously, if the file exists, just add the "en apm" line to the
existing contents.)

Yes, this is what I had been looking for.
Just it doesn't work on my laptop.
Also the /boot/loader.conf has serveral
userconfig_script_load="YES".
