Update...

If I try to directly connect to /dev/cuaa1 using pilot-xfer, I get a
core dump:

$ pilot-xfer -p /dev/cuaa1 -l


Listening to port: /dev/cuaa1

Please press the HotSync button now... Bus error (core dumped)

My attempts to get gnomepilot2 working with /dev/ttyqf has also failed.

Oops, I meant *have* also failed.
